Ballybunnion Beach

Just 35 miles from Mountain View is Ballybunnion, a bustling seaside resort. It has miles of safe "blue flag" sandy beaches with rockpools to explore & not a pebble in sight! A ruined castle looks down imposingly over the beach.

There is a cliff top walk with spectacular views, you might just see the pod of bottlenose dolphins that live in the Shannon estuary. Nesting birds include Fulmar, Rock Pipit, Razorbill & Chough.

There are plenty of shops (buckets & spades for sale of course), restaurants & bars in the town itself as well a brand new Leisure Centre with swimming pool, sauna & gym. In the summer months there are traditional seaside amusement arcades plus there is a superb playground next to the beach. Parking available adjacent to the beach.
